Keith Moore
We regularly hear Muslims championing western scientists (including the now infamous Keith Moore) who justified so-called Islamic scientific miracles, specifically the embryonic ones.
These claims are over 30 years old and Moore has since confessed off-the-record that his comments were put ‘out of context’ & publically that he never converted to Islam. The Wall Street journal confirms they were all invited with first class plane tickets, each receiving US$ 1,000 and a crystal clock for their efforts. None of them were acclaimed scientists or had a single claim published in any leading peer-reviewed scientific journals.http://youtu.be/ClHuG880pqU
In the acknowledgments section of Moore’s book on “The Developing Human: Clinically Oriented Embryology with Islamic Additions” it pays tribute to a number of ‘distinguished scholars’ who supported the book with time or money. And number 6 on the list? None other than Sheikh Osama bin Laden.
It was all part of a well-funded Wahhabi imperialistic campaign run by Saudi Arabia’s King Faisal government in the 1960s & 1970s. However such dawah-ganda claim are rife and nothing new. Prior to this episode Muslims were claiming Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon, became a Muslim after hearing a call to prayer on the moon. It took his lawyers to officially release a press statement saying he had not converted to Islam.
guess me and Saif are doing something right :D
